Summer Camp Presents Announces No Festival for 2024 Due to Industry Challenges
The journey for fans of the Summer Camp Music Festival has been full of ups and downs in recent years. In 2024, Summer Camp Presents pivoted to a new festival concept, Solshine Reverie. Although the inaugural event was successful, a late December post indicated that it would not return in 2025. This year, the focus was set on a series of shows over Memorial Day Weekend, but today brought disappointing news that the event has been canceled.
Just hours ago, Summer Camp Presents announced via social media that the planned three-day show at Peoria Riverfront would not occur. “Despite our best efforts, various factors including the current state of the music festival industry, artist conflicts, and more prevented us from delivering a Memorial Day event that aligns with the Summer Camp Presents brand,” the organization shared. “Our team is now looking forward to a full return in 2026.”
While a full-scale festival won’t happen this year, Summer Camp Presents is not leaving fans without options. They announced a series of shows at Peoria Riverfront as a “prequel to the major 25th edition of Summer Camp Music Festival in 2026.” The lineup includes an artist to be announced on June 20, Cake on June 26, The Infamous Stringdusters & Leftover Salmon with Kitchen Dwellers on July 17, Moe. with Eggy on August 7, and another artist to be announced on August 15. More artists will be revealed in the coming months.
Although Solshine Reverie remains on pause, Summer Camp Presents expressed optimism for future plans for the event.
