Above & Beyond Reveals Highly Anticipated Fifth Studio Album ‘Bigger Than All Of Us’

News

After seven years of anticipation, Anjunafamily can celebrate as Above & Beyond announces their fifth album, Bigger Than All Of Us, set to release this summer!

Exciting news continues to emerge as Above & Beyond marks 25 years of Anjunabeats. This latest announcement is something that members of the Anjunafamily have been eagerly awaiting. Today, the trio unveiled that their fifth studio album, Bigger Than All Of Us, will be released this summer.

Bigger Than All Of Us will come out seven years after the launch of Common Ground. During this time, Above & Beyond explored various projects, including the 2019 yoga and meditation-inspired album Flow State, a soundtrack for The Last Glaciers, and the revival of their Tranquility Base alias. James Grant, Paavo Siljamäki, and Tony McGuinness also dedicated time to projects outside of Above & Beyond, releasing albums such as JODA, Deeper Tales, and Salt in recent years. Now, they have embraced the essence of reconnection for their latest project.

This album represents our appreciation for the incredible journey we’ve shared. We feel fortunate to have been part of something so meaningful for 25 years, creating a community that genuinely cares for one another. It’s not about any one of us individually. When we collaborate, we create something greater.

While the complete tracklist for Bigger Than All Of Us is still under wraps, Above & Beyond has unveiled the album’s latest single, “Quicksand (Don’t Go).” This track was first introduced during the trio’s performance at ABGT600 in Mexico City, featuring singer-songwriter Zoë Johnston, who has collaborated on hits like “No One on Earth,” “Alchemy,” and “We’re All We Need.”

Above & Beyond considers Zoë Johnston “part of the band,” having worked with her for over two decades. “Thus, a song featuring her vocals is very reassuring for our audience,” they stated. “It signals that Above & Beyond is back, in a familiar form.” The song, set to be released on March 21, showcases Johnston’s distinctive lyrics that resonate deeply and universally.

Many of us can relate to the feeling of despair and fear when losing someone we love. The grief can be overwhelming as you watch it approach for a long time before it hits. It feels like disappearing into quicksand. It’s terrifying, painful, and isolating. I hope a song like this helps anyone enduring the pain of significant loss feel a little less alone.

In addition to the album announcement, Above & Beyond will embark on a global tour this year to celebrate the album’s release. Tour dates and locations will be announced in the coming months, and Anjunafamily members can sign up for updates via the official website. They also shared details about their performance at London’s Brixton Academy on November 15. Presale for that show begins on Wednesday, March 26 at 10 am GMT. For access, visit Laylo.

Pre-save “Quicksand (Don’t Go)” ahead of its release on March 21. Bigger Than All Of Us is scheduled for release on July 17 via Anjunabeats, with vinyl and CD copies available for pre-order now via the Anjunastore.
