Mochakk Launches Mochakk Calling Festival in Malta
Despite the recent challenges facing music festivals, artists continue to embrace large-scale event concepts. Following the recent announcement of GRiZ’s Seven Stars Festival, Mochakk has unveiled plans for the inaugural Mochakk Calling Festival, set to take place on July 26-27 at the stunning open-air venue of Ta’ Qali in Malta.
The renowned tech house DJ and producer, known for his unique sound, has previously organized events under the Mochakk Calling brand, with upcoming shows scheduled in Miami, Chicago, and London through June. The festival will feature an impressive lineup of house and techno artists, including HAAi, Dixon, Honey Dijon, Bonobo, Desiree, Chaos in the CBD, Todd Terje, Badsista, Seth Troxler, Mall Grab, and DJ Swisha.
Located near the towns of Attard and Mosta, Ta’ Qali is a versatile open-air space that includes a football stadium and a convention center. The area designated for the Mochakk Calling Festival can accommodate up to 5,000 attendees.
This isn’t Mochakk’s first venture beyond live performances and recorded music that have earned him global acclaim. Last year, he launched a club named OBLIQO in his native Sorocaba, Brazil.
Malta has a rich history of hosting large dance music events, with notable organizers like Defected Records and elrow attracting thousands of festival-goers to the Mediterranean archipelago.
Presale tickets for the Mochakk Calling Festival will be available starting Thursday, March 27, with general sales commencing on Friday, March 28. For updates, sign up at Laylo.
