Zeds Dead Unveils Innovative Concept Film Inspired by Their Sophomore Album Release

News

Zeds Dead has released a conceptual film that adds a new dimension to their latest album, Return To The Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness.

If you believed Zeds Dead was finished with the promotion of Return To The Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness after releasing the album and starting their tour, you’d be mistaken. Today, the Canadian duo revealed another enchanting element of this stellar album: a visual experience that adds depth and will captivate fans.

Return To The Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness: The Movie debuted on March 4 in Beverly Hills to an audience of industry insiders and dedicated Zeds Dead enthusiasts. Now, fans around the globe can dive into a sea of nostalgia and sound as they journey through various dimensions.

The analog white noise and carefully curated samples previously found only on the album are vividly brought to life in the film, edited by Callum Gilles and Zeds Dead. Presented in a 4:3 aspect ratio to enhance the nostalgic atmosphere, the movie kicks off with the flicking of TV channels, as if searching for something to watch before revealing the album’s title.

From that point, the adventure begins with tracks like “Fall Away,” “Heartbeat,” “A Million Dreams,” “Sweet Memories,” and others, paired with visuals ranging from clips of dancers and classic films to images of space and retro cartoons. Notably, these visuals are all clips that would have aired at some point over the past century, reinforcing the idea that these broadcasts will remain part of our universe long after they’ve faded from Earth.
