Mochakk is transforming his Mochakk Calling brand into a comprehensive two-day festival at the scenic open-air venue Ta’ Qali in Malta.
Despite the current challenges facing music festivals, artists are still eager to create large-scale events. Recently, GRiZ unveiled the lineup for his new event, Seven Stars Festival. Now, Mochakk has revealed plans for the inaugural Mochakk Calling Festival, set to take place on July 26-27 at the renowned Ta’ Qali in Malta.
The innovative tech house DJ and producer, known for his unique style, has previously organized events under the Mochakk Calling brand, with more scheduled in Miami, Chicago, and London through June. For this festival, he has curated a lineup featuring prominent house and techno artists such as HAAi, Dixon, Honey Dijon, Bonobo, Desiree, Chaos in the CBD, Todd Terje, Badsista, Seth Troxler, Mall Grab, and DJ Swisha.
Ta’ Qali is an expansive open-air venue located near the Maltese towns of Attard and Mosta, featuring a football stadium and a convention center. The designated area for the Mochakk Calling Festival has a capacity of 5,000 attendees.
This isn’t Mochakk’s (real name Pedro Maia) first venture beyond his successful music career. Last year, he announced the launch of a club named OBLIQO in his hometown of Sorocaba, Brazil.
Malta has a rich history of hosting major dance music events. Notable organizers like Defected Records and elrow have successfully attracted thousands of festival-goers to this Mediterranean destination in recent years.
Presale tickets for the Mochakk Calling Festival in Malta will be available starting Thursday, March 27, with general sales commencing on Friday, March 28. For updates, sign up via Laylo.
