Can you believe that Breakaway Dallas is just days away? This exciting first edition will take place at Fair Park, located east of downtown in South Dallas on April 4-5. With a fantastic lineup featuring some of the biggest names in EDM, it’s shaping up to be an unforgettable experience.
On the first night, get ready for performances by SLANDER, Louis the Child, and Afrojack, alongside supporting acts like ACRAZE, LAYZ, and Zomboy. The second night will feature Jackie Hollander, Troyboi, and Ship Wrek, paving the way for headliners Zedd and Gryffin. But the music is just part of the allure. Breakaway Music Festival has successfully expanded from its origins in Ohio to events across the nation.

Sadly, reports of pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of items like wallets, smartphones, and purses have surfaced among festival-goers. While these incidents do not reflect the festival crowd as a whole, it’s crucial to stay vigilant about your belongings while at Breakaway Dallas.

Breakaway Dallas 2025 – Dos and Don’ts:
Prohibited Items
- Bags larger than 14 x 6 x 14, including backpacks
- Professional camera equipment (detachable lenses, tripods, battery packs, large commercial video cameras, GoPros)
- Totems
- Umbrellas
- Individual glow sticks
- Chairs (including foldable and lawn)
- Seat cushions with backs
- Tents
- Aerosol cans, spray paint, or pressurized cans
- Frisbees and sports balls (soccer balls, footballs, etc.)
- Air horns
- Glass containers of any kind
- Selfie sticks
- Remote controlled aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems (drones)
- Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons and firearms (regardless of concealed carry permit)
- Food or beverage of any kind
- Illegal drugs, substances, or harmful chemicals
- Medical marijuana
- Laser pointers, spray paint, silly string
- Fireworks of any kind (including but not limited to flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices, or pyrotechnics)
- Whistles
- Hoverboards
- Any item that can be used as a projectile or deemed as dangerous by the festival organizers
- No pets (service animals only)
Permitted Items
- Bags 14 x 6 x 14 or smaller; no backpacks or large bags (subject to search upon entry; exceptions made for diaper bags and breast pumps)
- Prescription medication in pharmacy bottle with a current and valid prescription to be verified by ID (includes inhalers; does NOT include medical marijuana)
- Flags WITHOUT poles
- Empty hydration packs, clear of all liquid and no more than two total pockets (one reservoir and one additional pocket), no larger than 14 x 6 x 14 each
- 1 empty, reusable water bottle per person (must be transparent plastic and no larger than 1 Liter)
- Non-aerosol sunscreen, bug spray, deodorant, hand sanitizer, wet wipes (small/travel size)
- Feminine hygiene products
- Glowing or illuminated costumes or jewelry
- Cigarettes (unopened packs only), vapes, Juuls or other electronic smoking devices
- Hula Hoops (including LED hoops), LED whips, pois and orbitals, gloves, microlights, flowlights
- Blankets, yoga mats, sheets, towels, and moon mats
- Ponchos
- Small misting fans
- Earplugs
