Discover Landopolo: The Rising DJ from Los Angeles with a Unique Mix
Los Angeles, the heart of Southern California, is a vibrant hub for aspiring DJs and producers eager to break into the dance music scene. Among them is Landopolo, a talented artist who is making waves with his eclectic sounds. Performing at venues like Blind Tiger and Goyo Club Party, he has also graced the stage at the Insomniac Passport Lounge during Escape Halloween.
Landopolo’s passion for dance music began at an early age. He shares, “I grew up DJing all types of house music and made it a point to learn how to take an audience on a journey rather than sticking to one type of subgenre. For me, it gets boring pretty fast. From disco to breaks or tribal to darker or deep house… I try to make them all make sense together. That’s the fun and anxious part.”
While he is establishing himself in the underground scene of Los Angeles, Landopolo is also broadening his horizons by taking gigs outside of California. “I enjoy getting into the local scenes around LA and checking out what’s happening or meeting the people throwing events,” he explains. “There are different layers of the underground out here, and there is a lot of potential for collaboration. I recently started pushing for bookings outside of LA or California to check out the local scenes elsewhere.”
His future plans include expanding his reach to Miami, New York, and Europe. Additionally, he is preparing to release new tracks for fans to enjoy this year. To kick off the spring season in Southern California, he has released a mix that highlights his underground style and exceptional crate-digging skills.
This mix features tracks I currently play at my underground shows. I spend hours each day searching for new artists and music, so you might discover something you didn’t know you needed. With the beautiful spring weather lately, I felt inspired to create a groovier, dancier vibe towards the end.
