Anvaya Unveils Debut EP on Indo Warehouse: A New Era in Indie Music

**Anvaya Prepares for Their Inaugural Coachella Performance with Indo Warehouse and Releases Their Sands Between Us EP.**

Anvaya, the creative musical collaboration between husband and wife duo Sonia and Kaushal Majmudar, is emerging as a significant presence in the electronic music landscape. Established in 2023, this dynamic pair has already garnered attention within the Indo Warehouse label collective, performing at renowned festivals and venues like The Brooklyn Mirage, Sunburn Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, and SXM Festival. As they prepare for their debut Coachella performance with Indo Warehouse and an upcoming North American tour, Anvaya has unveiled their eagerly awaited debut EP, Sands Between Us, offering fans a glimpse into the richness of their authentic South Asian sound.

With their innovative approach, Anvaya has created five fresh tracks that merge traditional Indian musical elements with modern house beats in the new EP. “Each track tells its own unique story, stemming from continuous experimentation and collaboration,” Kaushal shared. “We hope listeners will fully immerse themselves, uncovering new layers with every listen. We envisioned this EP as a sonic journey, providing both connection and introspection, whether one is dancing or quietly reflecting.”

Beginning with an explosion of joy, “Laal Chunariya” opens with vibrant shehnai melodies that set a celebratory atmosphere. They showcase their musical versatility with “Dheere,” which takes a darker turn, drawing listeners into a trance-like state with the rhythmic resonance of mridangam and khol. Following this, “Yaadein” offers a softer melody, inviting listeners to reflect. Built around a consistent drum loop, the track lingers long after its conclusion, smoothly transitioning into “Ud Janna,” a delicate piece that beautifully incorporates a descending santoor motif, creating a harmonious interplay.

To conclude the EP, Anvaya collaborates with Carnatic violinist Shiva Ramamurthi on “Take My Hand,” a track inspired by the traditional Indian classical form of Jugalbandi. This song draws deeply from the rich traditions of South Asian music with its intricate rhythms, crafting an immersive experience that honors their cultural heritage while resonating with a global audience.
