Introducing OX7GEN and His New EP ‘Stomp Nouveau’
Aditya Ashok, known professionally as OX7GEN, is making waves in the Indian electronic music landscape with his distinct sound that has resonated for over a decade. His latest EP, ‘Stomp Nouveau’, is set to be released on April 30th under his new label, Fresh Air Records. To kick off this exciting launch, the single ‘Cruise Control’ will drop on April 16th.

Track Highlights from ‘Stomp Nouveau’
The EP opens with ‘I/O’, a track characterized by its driving 4/4 beat, captivating riffs, and deep bass synths, destined for the world’s top festivals and dance floors. OX7GEN shares, “’I/O’ has been a mainstay in my sets for the last 3 years. I was saving it for something special, and I’m glad to have it out on the first release of my own label.”
Last December, OX7GEN’s Boiler Room set (releasing on April 2, 2025) received tremendous acclaim, with ‘Cruise Control’ standing out as a highlight. Featuring vocals from his friend and fellow DJ from Goa, Anushka, the lyrics express a desire to dance freely: “Not looking for nobody/ to get me in the mood/ selector got me locked in place and I just wanna cruise.” OX7GEN describes it as a call for liberation on the dance floor.
‘Sentinels’ showcases OX7GEN’s ability to build tension, laying intricate beats and dreamy synths without overwhelming the listener. Meanwhile, ‘Wolves II’ embodies a techno evolution of OX7GEN’s earlier drum & bass style, merging the energies of both genres seamlessly.

OX7GEN reflects on the EP’s significance: “This EP is special for me as I embark on a new journey with Fresh Air Records. Each of the four tracks is unique yet retains that distinct OX7GEN sound. The label is a creative space where I can explore and release whatever I want, free from genre constraints. Expect quirky, fierce, and emotive music across the spectrum.”
