This spring, Box of Cats brings a burst of playful energy with their latest release. Temporarily taking on the name “Box of Chocolates” for the Easter season, the label has unveiled Litterbox 18, a compilation designed to provide a sweet rush on the dancefloor.
Different from typical compilations, Litterbox 18 embraces surprise and creativity. After extensive crate-digging, Box of Cats has curated a mix of familiar favorites and fresh talent, showcasing artists who venture beyond the ordinary. The compilation includes five tech house tracks, four bass house selections, one techno tune, and an electrifying electro piece.
Returning favorites like Reginald, Good Neighbour, and Carlos Pineda collaborate with new artists such as Balanka, King Fluff, BENK, Boothed, and Rayes. While each track highlights the diverse styles within the Litterbox series, certain tracks stand out in a remarkable way.
SHDWS’s “One More Lie” presents a captivating bass house vibe, layering vocals over a subtle beat that ignites the dancefloor. Ghetto Birds’ “Magic” delivers an electro sound perfect for peak festival moments. For a tech house fix, Blame Mate offers fresh and funky grooves in “Strange Sisters.” Lastly, the sole techno track, “Sunshine Awakens” by Reginald and Y-DAPT, mesmerizes with its deep, hypnotic essence.
