A Music Lover From the Beginning
From a young age, music was an integral part of Alimorad‘s life. Growing up in Harrison, New York, he was inspired by his father, a celebrated pop and rock singer in Iran during the 1960s. By the second grade, Alimorad was singing in his church choir and developed a passion for playing the piano. By seventh grade, he formed his first garage band.

As he mentioned in an interview with Authority Magazine, Alimorad was undeterred by the music preferences of his peers and developed a fascination for music from earlier decades: “I was into older music when I was a kid. None of my friends had heard of any of the bands I was listening to, and in middle school especially there were people always asking me why I like this ‘old’ music.”
Alimorad‘s experience as a drum major in his high school marching band solidified his commitment to music. He later pursued a Bachelor of Science in music technology at Northeastern University, during which he gained recognition for his dynamic live performances in Boston’s bars, clubs, and festivals. This period marked the start of Alimorad’s recording career.

“To anyone going through a dark time, know there are brighter days ahead,” he emphasized in an interview with Recording Magazine.
In 2024, Alimorad was recognized as Best New Artist at the World Entertainment Awards, with his music featured on platforms like MTV and PBS. These achievements highlight the increasing influence he is making in the music industry.
Overcoming Life’s Hurdles
Alimorad’s path has not been without difficulties. The COVID-19 pandemic brought personal and professional challenges, including the loss of his father, who was a musical mentor and confidant, leaving an emotional void as he launched his career.
Professionally, the pandemic disrupted his plans, including a much-anticipated showcase at SXSW. Nevertheless, Alimorad took this time for introspection and discovered new paths forward, ultimately channeling his grief into his music.

His debut at Carnegie Hall on February 20, 2025, marks a significant milestone in his career, symbolizing the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
