Loud Luxury and Cloonee’s Events Rescheduled Amid Brooklyn Mirage Cancellations

As cancellations continue at The Brooklyn Mirage, it seems that event postponements are becoming increasingly common. The highly anticipated shows featuring Loud Luxury and Cloonee this weekend have both been affected, following delays in the Avant Gardner venue’s relaunch timeline.

According to an announcement made via Instagram, Loud Luxury’s show originally scheduled for Friday, May 9 at The Brooklyn Mirage has been rescheduled to August 2. In contrast, Cloonee’s performance on Saturday, May 10 will now occur at the Brooklyn Storehouse. The announcement indicated that tickets for both events would automatically transfer to the new dates; however, while refunds for the Loud Luxury event were mentioned, it was unclear whether they would be available for Cloonee’s show.

The reasons for the delays in the venue’s reopening were not explicitly stated in the announcement. Last week, The Brooklyn Mirage attributed its initial cancellations to missing an inspection deadline but maintained that the venue was “show ready.” However, photos from the venue that night suggested otherwise. A representative from Avant Gardner did not respond promptly to inquiries from EDM Identity.

“We sincerely apologize and appreciate your continued patience as we work toward opening the Brooklyn Mirage,” stated the announcement. “We will keep you informed about the progress as we strive to create an exceptional experience for our community.”

The Avant Gardner complex opened its doors in 2015 at 140 Stewart Ave, with The Brooklyn Mirage debuting two years later. Following complaints regarding sound quality, dancefloor space, and safety, the new CEO, Josh Wyatt, initiated plans for an ambitious renovation intended to complete before the scheduled May 1-2 Sara Landry double header.
