Sagia Releases the Captivating Destinations EP
Sagia introduces her latest release, the outstanding Destinations EP, which launched on Natura Viva on May 9th. The London-based producer and DJ returns with her signature blend of spacious, energetic soundscapes, robust basslines, and warm, inviting vibes. Since her debut in 2012 with That’s Right, Sagia has garnered global attention, delivering her uplifting grooves from Amsterdam to New York, and Ibiza to Miami. The Destinations EP draws inspiration from her travels.

Close your eyes and let the cool synths wash over you, reminiscent of the waves crashing against sandy shores, accompanied by a two-note refrain that guides your journey. The steady drum loop keeps your heartbeat aligned with the rhythm as Sagia intensifies the experience. Just like the exhilarating drive along the coast, Destinations brings a sense of joy. Sagia shares more about her inspiration: “Destinations came from all the time I’ve spent on the road these last few years. I have a soft spot for the nomadic vibe of a US road trip. The beauty of the Pacific Coast Highway truly fascinates me.”
As we journey further along Highway 1, Sagia transports us to the renowned Sunken City, located south of LA in Coastal San Pedro, where a landslide in 1929 caused the collapse of several wooden homes, streets, and rail tracks. This area exudes a magical atmosphere.
A steady 4/4 beat is complemented by a dreamy, nocturnal synth line. Sagia elevates the party with a stunning delayed piano melody paired with a minimal bassline. Her ability to craft such an immersive soundscape is a remarkable talent, enveloping listeners even through two speakers. Sagia elaborates: “I drew immense inspiration from life on the road and everything it encompasses. Sunken City is a magical location on the southern coast of LA, famously featured in ‘The Big Lebowski.’”
